Meet Georgie Smith
Georgie Smith – Experienced Women’s Health Acupuncturist
I have been practising as an acupuncturist in Brisbane since 2010, with a focus on women’s health. My work is grounded in over a decade of experience as a midwife, a Master’s degree in Reproductive Medicine, and my earlier career as a nurse, allowing me to offer knowledgeable, compassionate and truly holistic care.
My Journey from Midwife to Acupuncturist
I have undertaken extensive postgraduate training in acupuncture for fertility, pregnancy, menopause and oncology support. I am deeply passionate about supporting women through all stages of life — from conception and birth to hormonal transitions and recovery from illness.
Lived Experience and Empathy
As a breast cancer survivor, I bring lived experience and deep empathy to my clinical work. I understand first-hand the physical, emotional and psychological challenges that can accompany diagnosis and treatment, and I strive to create a calm, nurturing space where women feel seen, supported and understood.
A Little About Me Outside the Clinic
When I’m not in the clinic, you’ll usually find me spending time with my daughter, tending to my garden, or curled up with a good book. Our home is shared with two dogs and two cats who keep life wonderfully busy, and I value regular exercise as an important part of staying well and grounded.
These simple, nourishing parts of everyday life shape the way I care for my clients — with presence, warmth and a genuine appreciation for the rhythms of real life.

I acknowledge the Turrbal people and the Yuggera people as the Traditional Custodians of the land on which I live and work. I pay deep respect to Elders past, present and emerging, and honour the songlines, stories and cultural heritage that continue to echo across this Country. This land always was, and always will be, Aboriginal land.
